Hello everyone its officially one week until the premiere of Survivor Game Changers!! how exciting is that! it also marks the shows 500th episode . That is such a big accomplishment. My post about Adam Klein last week was so popular I decided to write about another Survivor castaway Jay Starrett.
Jay was on the Vanua tribe " Millennial" during his time on Survivor Millennials vs GenX.
When I first read Jay's bio

I was annoyed. Survivor is known for putting on the show these pretty boys who are challenge beasts and sport man buns. You all remember Ozzy Lusth, Malcolm Freberg and Joe Anglim. They are all like Survivor gods to people just because of there looks. They are cocky, self riotous and bullies. I thought Jay would be the same ....... but I was wrong.
Jay was in the main alliance with Michelle, Will, Taylor and Figgy. But was he really in a alliance with Taylor and Figgy?
It was Michelle who informed Jay and Will what a big threat these two were and that they should stick together . They decided to save Figgy and convinve Hannah to vote off Mari. Thinking Figgy would be an easy vote later.
Will was Jay's sidekick for awhile they even stuck together when the tribe switch happened and they were sent to the new Ika Bula tribe.
The Ika Bula tribe consisted of 4 Millennial and 2 Gex. Michaela, Jay, Will and Hannah had the upper hand being the 4 Millennial's. Sunday and Brett were on the outs...... or were they?
Jay had a lot of amazing moments during his season one of them being that he blindsided Michaela. Michaela was amazing in challenges nobody can question that, but she shot herself in the foot when she showed her alliance her strategic gameplay for now and the future in the game. Not to mention when Michaela caught Will and Jay red handed when Jay found the hidden immunity idol.
Which ultimately lead to this moment...

Jay convinced Sunday and Brett to vote along side Will and himself . He decided not to tell Hannah as she was proven in the past to be indescive when making a voting descion . He knew with a merge coming they had had to get rid of a challenge beast like Michaela when they did. This moment totally changed my opinion about Jay I was like wow he really has his head in the game. Michaela called this a stupid move but had he not made that move Michaela would be in charge calling the shots and they risk not being able to vote her off later in the game due to the fact she excels in challenges. Instead Jay made the big move and was brave enough to make that move and a lot wiser for coming up with and or carrying out the blindside.
Jay made it to the merge and was quite popular around camp . Jay won multiple immunity challenges .
He found an idol
He was a big threat at camp and everyone wanted him gone as they knew if Jay made it to the end the others wouldn't have a chance against him at final tribal.
One person who knew Jay was a threat and wanted him gone was Adam Klein.
In last weeks post about Adam I talked about his and Jay's relationship. As Jay put it they were the yin yang. They were definitely rivals not vicious rivals , but they both had a common goal ... to win. They both had mothers who had health problems which made the loved ones visit so touching.

I saw a different side of Jay during this episode I learned a lot about him. Jay won the reward challenge and he was stuck with the hard task of choosing which tribemates what also get time with there loved ones.

Jay was able to put the differences he had with Adam aside and brought him on the love ones visit with Sunday , Will and himself.
Also we saw in this moment when Adam revealed to Jay that his mom has stage 4 lung cancer they have a heart to heart. Jay understands Adam because his mom has serious health problems as well. In any other season or any tribemate they might tell the others Adam's secret but not Jay he decided to keep that secret

I learned a lot about his character and who he is as a human being.
The only mistakes Jay made during his season was 1. playing his idol at the wrong time. Adam was able to convince Jay to play his idol when he would have been safe from the vote that night making his idol play useless. 2 during his last immunity challenge when all he had to do was cover the puzzle code he was working on and he forgot to cover it costing immunity and ultimately lead to this.

His final was as you can see above was believeing he found a second idol. When in fact David made a fake idol in the hopes of Jay playing it. Which he in fact did. Jay thought he was safe whwen he thought found an idol only to find out the work of art was a fake and was sent home.
Jay was voted off sending him to the jury. He was not a bitter juror in fact he voted for his rival Adam to win sole survivor.
I wish Jay was on Survivor Game changers because he truly changed the game for me. Jay was an awesome player and exceptional human being. I learned so much from him and I'd like to apologize to Jay because I was 100% wrong about you. I hope you all take a minute and get to know Jay because he's not a weasel he's a good dude he is a warrior.
