Carolyn Rivera Interview

Welcome to my first White rice Wedsneday interview. My first interview is with Survivor Worlds Apart Runner up Carolyn " Mama C" Rivera. We talked about her time on the island and Survivor in General.

1. What have you been up to since Survivor Worlds Apart?
Carolyn- Well I have my own busneiss professional speaker leadership trainer. I am out there trying to empower people to achieve more than they ever thought possible. So ignite your will to win that's what I'm all about.

2. Are you still close to anyone from your season?
Carolyn- O yeah practically the entire cast . When you look at the dirty 30 and Worlds Apart we are a very close cast. I saw Rodney last week. I talked to Mike the other day. Sierra, Will, So, Kelly, Tyler we are all pretty close

3. Were you surprised you lost to Mike?
Carolyn- Well I mean I thought I was going to get more votes. I thought I played a really good game, but you cant take away from Mike winning 5 challenges in a row to stay in the game. He is one of 5 people in the history of Survivor to have ever done that.

4. How shocked were you that you didn't get picked for a second chance in Survivor Cambodia?
Carolyn-  I was kind of shocked yeah. I thought for sure if I didn't win I was coming back, but honestly a lot of people thought I was going to win so I don't know they were wasting a vote on me that's what people have said. In my mind it wasn't meant to be because if it was I would have gotten on.

5.If asked back what would you do differently vs your time in Worlds Apart?
Carolyn- Its hard to say hard to tell everything is contingent upon who you are out there with and how that plays out. I  don't know that people go out there and develop this strategy ahead of time and than implement that. I don't think that really works it becomes very scripted and people can see through that.

6. Is and advantage really an advantage in the game or a disadvantage ?
Carolyn- You know it also depends on the people in the season. In some seasons I think especially when Cochran got an advantage it worked in his favor. So it depends on how its preserved by the other people on the island and how that person uses it. Even when Adam had his advantage to steal a reward he didn't use the advantage. He gave it away and it helped him in the end. It plays differently in different seasons. Dan's advantage didn't help him because I had the idol and was able to play it at the right time, but even if I didn't have the idol and got voted out it wouldn't have meant anything and it wouldn't have helped him.

7. What kind of people do you like to have an alliance with?
Carolyn- You know you have to get a feel for people there is not a certain person its how there personality and your personality link together to form a bond if you don't have that bond than ultimately the alliance isn't really tight. Its not a specific formula that dictates a good alliance member its really how you interact and get along with the specific person that you choose.

8. If you were on the jury what qualities would you look for in deciding a winner?
Carolyn- Overall game play it would have to be the whole game. You can have someone really good in one area and not another. You can be a challenge beast than be terrible at camp. you can be fabulous at camp than not help your team win. So when I look at it overall gameplay.

9. Are you excitied for Survivor Game Changers?
Carolyn- O yeah its going to be a great season I'm very excitied about Game changers. It would be better if I was on it but still going to be a fabulous season.
