It’s my yearly post to celebrate Barbara Hershey’s birthday. I really need to update my blog more . How many of you have ever been blessed to be in the presence of Barbara Hershey? I am happy to say I am one of those lucky people. I have been fortunate enough to attend conventions where Barbara is in attendance. I have to be honest here I’ve been to many cons and none of them even come close to the experience I have when I meet Barbara. Barbara is always so patient and kind. Normally the con people make you rush through and you barely get time to say anything to a celebrity . Barbara takes the time to talk to her fans and make sure they have a memorable con experience. Not just that but she has this incredible talent. She has this natural and passionate ability to act on the big screen. Everything she stars in is pure magic . Barbara is so wise and I believe I am a better person for meeting Barbara and being a fan of hers . Barbara deserves this day and so much more . I hope you have a magical day Barbara !!

Barbara Hershey’s Birthday!!
Well this is my yearly post on a truly great day of the year. I really need to make it a habit to write on here more often. Anyway it is Barbara Hershey’s birthday !!!
We should be celebrating Barbara everyday of the year instead of just one day. I must say I’Ve never met anyone like her. She truly is special .
This rare gem is something you unfortunately don’t see in today’s world . She is kind , caring and compassionate. Barbara is so paitent with me when I am at cons. I always feel like I got the VIP treatment whenever I meet her .
I am bullied most days out of the year and I have seen how cruel the world can be .I have been called every name in the book and have been told I can’t do this or shouldn’t do that. Barbara makes me believe in myself and pursue what I am passionate about. Meeting her is the one day out of the year when someone is nice to me and she makes me feel like I belong .
She saved me and I Wouldn’t be here standing today without her. I love Barbara and the kind of person she is. She has a beautiful soul and should be cherished .
Barbara if your reading this I hope you know how special you are . Your so amazing Barbara . Thank you for all that you have done for me and continue to do. You are so nice and it really helps when the world around me is dark and cruel.
I hope I can meet you again soon , but until then thank you so much Barbara . Never ever change because you are what I consider what a perfect human . I hope you enjoy this day because you deserve it .

Barbara Hershey's Birthday
Hello everyone! I wish I posted on her more often. I always make a point to post at least one time a year, its always on Barbara Hershey's Birthday. I think this is the fifth post I have made in her honor. I have made many posts about Barbara and told many people about how great she is and I'm about to tell you all again.
See Barbara isn't like everyone else..... she's better !!!
Barbara Hershey is by far the nicest person I have ever met . I was tweeting messages to her for about a year before I met her for the first time at a con. I was a fan of hers for many years before. I always loved her role as Hilary Whitney in the movie " Beaches" ( which is fantastic by the way). She was also brilliant as Cora Mills in my favorite TV show Once Upon a Time.
Like anytime you meet someone for the first time , you have those butterfly feelings and boy did I ever. When I went to meet Barbara she recognized me right away. I was blown away by her kindness. What I really appreciated is she asked for permission to hug me. I have Asperger's and she was aware and took that into consideration and asked me if it was ok if she hugged me. That meant a lot and it just shows how considerate she is.
The second time I met her I went to her q/a first. I was able to ask her a question and she recognized me and called me by name. When the q/a was over i went to stand in her autograph line. She came from behind her table and walked to me in line , Since the first time I met her went so well I had nothing to worry about and I wasn't nervous at all. . I got emotional at one point and she was so understanding. I got emotional because she has done so much for me just by being herself. Barbara is the first person I met with such kindness and acceptance. After my photo op I went back to her table and we talked for the longest time.
The third time I met her , to me it was a bigger con. I was there for an hour and I couldn't find the celebrities tables. Finally I found her and I swear it was like old friends talking. She invited me back to her table again and I talked with her for the longest time.
Now I haven't said everything about the cons I met Barbara at because those moments are special and I would like to keep them that way. I go to cons only to meet the cast from Once Upon a Time. While everyone I have met so far from the cast has been nice, Barbara is by far the best. Every time I meet her at a con it is always the best con experience.
Barbara Hershey is in amazing human. She has this beautiful soul with this warm and bright smile that makes any bad day better. She inspires me to be a better person. She inspired me to follow my heart and study my craft ( which is writing) . I am alive today because of her. See having Asperger's I haven't had many friends . I have been bullied and abused and as a result have always felt alone in the world but Barbara made me feel not so alone anymore. Whenever I meet her all the darkness around me fades and for one day out of the year I am special and I am the happiest when I meet Barbara. I went from wanting to take my life to a successful college student with a two year degree . I still plan to continue my education all because of Barbara inspiring me.
With everything going on in the world , I haven't been able to go to cons, but I hope once everything gets better I can meet Barbara again. That will truly be the best day.
Barbara I admire you so . Your just so amazing, talented and kind. I have so much to thank you for . Thank you for believing in me and inspiring me to do what I didn't think was possible. Thank you for taking the time to talk with me at cons. Thank you for your kindness and acceptance, but most of all thank you for being you Happy Birthday !!!!!
I hoper everyone takes the time to wish this wonderful woman a Happy Birthday !! If you ever want to meet her at a con visit fullempirepromotions.com for future events.

Barbara Hershey’s Birthday
I’ve met Barbara at conventions about three times and each time is truly special. Any money I get for Christmas or for my birthday I always set it aside to go see Barbara at a con. Now normally my mom would say why are you going to this con again? But after the first time I met Barbara my mom said I don’t mind if you go meet Barbara again , I will gladly take you back.
I remember the first time I met Barbara . I was so nervous waiting in line. Every time I meet Lana Parrilla I get so anxious I become physically ill, but not with Barbara. I am nervous talking to Barbara , it’s kind of like friends talking you just feel comfortable plus it also helps that she’s so patient and understanding.
While I won’t go into every detail when I have met Barbara because those are special moments that I treasure I will however talk about one moment that was powerful and I will never forget .
It happened the second time I met Barbara . I was in a very bad place . I was bullied , belittled and disrespected by people I thought I could trust and I thought were my friends. I became so depressed that I questioned should I just end my life? When I met Barbara the first time she was so nice and ever so kind I was completely taken back. She was the first person to like me for who I am and made me feel like I belong and have a purpose. I started watching Barbara’s work and I started to appreciate her talent.
Those that know me know Once Upon a Time is my life. What many don’t know is I was a fan of Barbara before she became part of the show. I was a fan of her movie Beaches before I was a fan of Cora. For years I was told I had to fit in and if I didn’t have a big group of friends I would be a loser. I learned from Beaches it’s better to have one loyal friend that will last a lifetime , than a whole group of fake friends who stab you behind in the back.
I rambled on I know now to get to that moment. So the second time I met Barbara like I mentioned I was in a really bad place. I had a lot of emotions going on all at once and I wanted to thank Barbara for being so good to me. All of the sudden my hands start shaking and flapping . I become so nervous I start to studder my words and then it happened I started crying and I finally was able to get out you saved my life . She took my flapping hands and gave me a hug and it was a moment I would never forget. It’s a perfect example of a Barbara’s kindness. It was a big deal because I never ever let anyone hug me but Barbara is the only person I let hug me.
Barbara is always a conversation starter. Every time I tell anyone about meeting Barbara they are so blown away by her kindness and say how amazing she is . Once I get started talking about Barbara it’s hard to stop , but can you blame me?
Barbara I hope you read this and just know I think the world of you. You always hold a special place in my heart. I admire you for your amazing talent of course but most of all your wonderful spirit . You truly are a treasure . I would say I wish people were more like you , but that’s what makes you so special is that your one in a million . Never change Barbara because you are perfect the way you are . Barbara you deserve this day and so much more . I hope you have a wonderful Birthday!!!!

Lana Parrilla Birthday
One thing that definitely comes to our minds is Lana's role as Regina Mills from Once Upon a Time.
Regina in the fairytale world was known as the Evil Queen. Regina wasn't evil , she was very misunderstood. If people really got to know her and her story they would see how broken she was.
Regina was destined to be queen according to her mother Cora and she would stop at nothing to make sure her daughter became queen. Even if that meant killing her first love Daniel.
https://youtu.be/xeFf55cz4l4
This led Regina on the path of destruction, thus everyone giving her the name The Evil Queen.
She had finally found her happiness, even if that meant casting the dark curse.
. Emma keeping Henry from her
. Robin Hood Dying
. Having to let go of Daniel a second time.
https://youtu.be/VzY6xuQccrg
https://youtu.be/gtJOSsq3h6Y
That's just to name a few.
I think why people gravitate more toward Regina than the other characters is because she is multi layered and Lana portrayed her flawlessly . Regina isn't defined by one label. She isn't a villain like others might think . Usually people think a villain is a villain that must make them evil, but they never stop and think what made them that way? Regina was an outcast and nobody believed in her . Often she tried to change but it was never good enough. Her complicated relationship with her parents is enough to send anyone over the edge.
Through it all Regina won. She proved everyone wrong and she became the savior. She saved the citizens of Storybrooke countless times . Regina deserved happiness she deserved to be with her soulmate Robin Hood ( yeah we all wished that). She taught us that your happy ending doesn't mean you have to fall in love. Finding your happy ending or new beginning can be a road to self discovery. Figuring out who you are and who you were always meant to be . True love doesn't have to be between a prince and princess , it can be between mother and son.
Most importantly Regina taught us to love ourselves.
She also loves meeting her fans just as much as we love meeting here. Lana has impacted so many of her fans lives and changed them for the better. I know many that have struggled including myself who wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for her. Lana is just one of those rare people that you come across who loves and accepts everyone she meets. She is non judgmental and very patient with us when we are nervous to talk to our hero.
For all Lana does for us I hope each and every Evil Regal can take time out of their day to wish Lana a happy birthday.
Happy Birthday Lana thank you for all that you do for us. I cant wait until I get to meet you again. Never change cause you are perfect the way you are... the rainbow in our clouds

Barbara Hershey's Birthday
I think the first will be her role as Tish Gray in The Baby Maker
The Baby Maker was released in 1970. Ahhh the 70s what a time to be alive. A sort of Liberal movement was happening opening the world to new perspectives and ideas. One thing that was definitely new to that decade was surrogate motherhood. Now today there was two types of surrogate motherhood, one where the surrogate is pregnant with an egg that is not biologically hers. The other method that is shown in this film is where the surrogate is the biological mother of the child.
Tish became a surrogate for a couple who couldn't have children of her own. While the wife couldn't bear children , her husband could. In order for them to have a child that at least half belonged to them , the husband and Tish have a baby the old fashion way.
I really did admire the character of Tish. Throughout the film you witness the selflessness and old soul that is Tish Gray. This was a complicated situation for all involved. What I loved is how Barbara was able to portray Tish as a surrogate. Throughout the movie we see Tish develop feelings for the husband , but at the same time you see her selflessness, courage and strength to give up her child. I think that shows how talented Barbara is to play the many layers of that character.
I also have to give Barbara credit because the birth scene in this movie was very realistic. I have seen characters give birth in films and tv before and you can tell its fake. Again its film and tv , but in The Baby Maker Tish giving birth seemed so real.
This is one of my favorite films that Barbara stars in. Its a very bittersweet movie. The couple gets a baby and Tish lets go of the child she carried for 9 months. Not only does she in some way lose the child by giving it away to the couple, but she also loses the husband , who she was developing feelings for. I think the movie poster says it all " The beauty of creating life , The freedom to give it away".
https://youtu.be/n8EMXf3Bkus
Now I can go on about how great The Baby Maker and Tish Gray are , but we are here to talk about Barbara.
The second is a film I think many Barbara fans know and if I must say its my all time favorite movie Beaches.
Beaches was released in 1988 and its a story about friendship. Barbara plays a introverted lawyer named Hillary Whitney. She met C.C. Bloom when she was 11 and they became lifelong friends. To me it seems Barbara had a lot of work to do with this role .
For one Barbara had to play different Hillary's . She had to play Hillary in her 20s to 40s doing that and rembereing how old she is in certain scenes must have been difficult. She had to play a lawyer turned housewife turned single mother. There was the friendship with C.C. and her relationship with her daughter. Not to mention she had to play someone with a terminal illness.
https://youtu.be/FhrUp9pM0rE
With C.C. she was a person that enjoyed being in the spotlight and enjoyed attention. Hillary was like the friend we dream about . She was fiercely loyal to C.C.. While C.C. preferred the spotlight, Hillary was always there behind the scenes or in the audience always there to support C.C..
I believe a lot of work went into playing Hillary and I commend Barbara on her performance in Beaches. I think If we can take anything from watching Beaches its that true friendships are rare and some friendships last forever.
Lastly one of my personal favorites is Barbara's portrayl of Cora Mills/ Queen of Hearts from Once Upon a Time .
Cora was forced to give up her first child, because Princess Eva ( who happens to be Snow's mom) betrays her to King Leopold. This begins the feud between Regina and Snow's families and Cora's believe that love is weakness. She loved her daughter Regina, but she always showed in all the wrong ways. She wanted what was best for her daughter and to have the things and be provided the opportunities she never had.
There is a reason Cora was this way, she didn't have her heart. When her heart is finally given back to her in Storybrooke , Snow manipulates Regina into killing her own mother( Makes my hatred for Snow White grow). When Cora was in the Underworld we got to see a glimpse of what life would have been like with Cora having her heart back.
After all the pain she caused, Cora did redeem herself by reuniting Regina and Zelena bringing them together . Cora then got to move on to a better place. Though my version of a better place would be in Storybrooke with her girls.

Barbara was just omg she was amazing as Cora. It was a real example of how talented Barbara is. She played so many versions of Cora. What impresses me is how different she made Cora with her heart and Cora without her heart. Her body language and voice tone changes in order to really play the many manipulative layers that is Cora.
I really loved seeing Cora in Once in Wonderland because we got to see what her reign as the Queen of Hearts looked like and let me tell you she was one badass queen. The mentor relationship between her and Anatasia I thought was epic.
https://youtu.be/GF5PduqexVA
Barbara is one talented actress that isn't given enough credit for her work. Barbara is more than just an actress. She is a wonderful human being who inspires everyone through her good natire and kindness. She cares about the world , animals and the environment. She is such a treasure for all she has done and accomplished. Her smile is very contagious and it will uplift you on a clody day and make your day be filled with sunshine and rainbows. If you ever are lucky enough to meet Barbara you will be blown away by how nice she is. She is the nicest person I know and my absoulute favorite person in the world.
Barbara you are so awesome and have a heart of gold. You deserve this day and so much more. Have the happiest of birthdays.

Lana Parrilla Birthday Project
For Lana's birthday I asked some of her Evil Regals to answer What does Lana mean to you?, How does she inspire you, What have you learned from her?
Melissa- Lana you are amazing you have helped me so much and I'm so so grateful the amount of love and support you have from fans who can afford to go to cons and meet you and you know them so well and I'm gonna be honest I'm jealous that's not me it kills me that I will never be able to thank you in person because I have no money because I don't work obviously mean my passion is directing and when I saw you were directing I just said I wanna be like Lana one day. Regina Mills taught me to be myself she might not always like it but she is so unapologetically herself and the fact that she always felt misunderstood and just wanted to be loved I need that I feel that and Regina has on some level made me think to myself you are not always alone its ok to lp her strength and your strength has taught me things. I can never thank you for enough for. The way you always care about all your fans I just wish I could tell you how proud I am of you and I wish I could be noticed by you one day I really do never say never.
Allyce- Oh, lol there is a lot I mean she's such a amazing and strong person. She is a very selfless person. She means so very much to me. Like she is one of my role models and honestly one of the best ones I could ever look up to. I love how she loves everyone no matter what their background or what their sexuality is. I don't think there is a hateful bone in her body. I could go on and on about her. She's just a kind soul and I look up to her.
Me- Lana has meant so much to me. She has made such a big impact on my life. She gave me hope when I thought there wasn't any. I didn't know what I was capable of until I saw Lana appear on my screen back in October 2011. Right away I felt an instant connection to Lana and her character Regina. Like Regina we were both alone and misunderstood, but Lana makes me feel like I belong because of her accepting nature and her kindness. She gave me the strength I needed to follow my heart and pursue what I'm passionate in. Because of Lana I got accepted to college and working toward my goal of becoming a writer. I have Asperger's and I always felt like an outcast because of others ignorance and bullying toward me , but somehow Lana always made it ok by watching her play Regina, but I think mostly because watching how she interacts with fans. She loves all her fans no matter who they are or where they come from. Lana truly is a special human being there aren't many like her . Lana thank you so much you taught me to follow my heart and to learn to love myself. I wouldn't have become who I am today without you . You saved my life and I am forever grateful. Happy Birthday Lana!! Long live The Good Queen :)
As you can see Lana is truly loved by her fans. Lana is an exceptional human being . Her talent and compassion for others inspire many. She gives strength and hope to all those that need it. She is a true hero. We hope you have a very regal birthday Lana!!
